Use of ĉi: to indicate closeness or specificity, ĉi is used before or after ti- or ĉi- words.
Example: tie means "there" whereas ĉi tie means "here"


Use of ajn: ajn means "...ever" after ki- words and "at all" after neni- or i- words.
Example: kie means "where" whereas kie ajn means "wherever".
Example: nenie means "nowhere" whereas nenie ajn means "nowhere at all".


Use of ĉu: to ask a yes or no question, use ĉu
Example: Ĉu vi loĝas en Usono? means "You live in the USA?"
